After 60 years of endevouring to produce sound puppies with excellent temperaments, for the showring, as companions for families, for assistance dogs and service dogs, we have made the decision to retire from breeding and showing, but we are not retiring from the breed,we are both still active in the Labrador Retriever Club of New South Wales, Hugh as President and Elizabeth as a Committee Member. We retire with the satisfaction of having made a significant contribution to the development of the Labrador breed in Australia. Over the years we have enlarged the gene pool by the importation of five dogs and semen from leading English Labrador Kennels. Elizabeth established herself as a leading exhbitor, illustrated by her success at All Breeds and Labrador Speciality Shows. Our webpage is now a record of the "Gunnislake" legacy. We are still available to give advice and guidance, help is just at the end of the phone.
